Inside the lines with Oh So Succulent

Hi Crafters,  with Mother's Day (UK) just around the corner,  I thought I would rustle up a card for my mum.  I was inspired by the free Sale-A-Bration designer series paper Inside the Lines.

The papers are 12x12 and they are fabulous floral colouring images.   You can get the free designer series paper and any of the other free products when spending £45 on product up until the 31st March 2017.

To make my card I cut a piece of the paper to approx 7x7cm and coloured the image in using the Stampin' Up! watercolour pencils and a blender pen.  The colours I used to colour the image are Real Red,  Old Olive, Early Espresso and Basic Black.   Once I had coloured my image I mounted it onto a piece of Real Red card stock sized at 8x8cm.

My card blank was made from Whisper White card stock cut at 14.8cm x 21cm and scored at 10.5cm on the long side.  I layered with a piece of Real Red card stock cut at 9.5cm x 13.8cm and a piece of Whisper White card stock cut at 8.5cm x 12.8cm.  I stamped the Whisper White layer with one of the small flowers from the Oh So Succulent stamp set in Real Red ink.  My sentiment was also taken from the Oh So Succulent stamp set and stamped in Real red on Whisper White card stock layered on Real Read card stock.   I assembled my card and finished off with a few Basic Rhinestones and some red seam binding ribbon from my craft stash.

Hope you love todays card,  please do leave me a comment, follow me and ask if you have any questions

Stampin' Up! High Tide

Hi Crafters,  here's a card I made with the new High Tide stamp set from Stampin' Up! its a great stamp set for the dreaded man cards.  I really struggle with male cards and am so happy when I find a stamp set that does all the hard work for me.  Its a fab stamp set which gives great results.

To make the card I used various products from Stampin' Up! see list below

  • Stamp set High Tide,
  • Whisper White and Smoky Slate card stock.
  • Inks - Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, Night of Navy, So Saffron and Black Memento,
  • Stamp set Avante Garden.
  • Glue - Tombow multipurpose glue

I cut a piece of A4 Whisper white cardstock in two, cutting it on the short side at 10.5cm, I took one of those ;pieces and scored it in half at 14.75cm to give me my card blank.
I cut two pieces of Smoky Slate card stock at 9.5 x 13.75cm these pieces made my first layer.
I cut two pieces of Whisper White card stock at 8.5x12.75cm these pieces made up my second layer, for my Stamped images.

I took my 8.5x12.75cm pieces of Whisper white card stock and stamped my design using my inks and stamps.  Once I had stamped my images I mounted my layers inside and out,  I finished off by adding a stamped sentiment die cut with an oval.

Another super simple card, great for the guys, I hope you like

Dragon Fly Dreams

Hi Crafters and Welcome to my blog,  I figured it was about time I started a blog and got into the online age.  I hope to share with you some of my makes and my love of paper craft.  Today I will share a very simple card made with the Dragon Fly Dreams stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This was super simple to make and I was please with the results, I love butterflies, dragonflies etc, I think they make such a pretty feature on a card.

Here's how I made it,  I cut a piece of A4 Whisper White card stock length ways down the middle at 10.5xm and then scored that in the middle at 14.85cm to make my card blank.  I cut two pieces of Night of Navy card stock at 9.5 cm x 14.3cm for my first layer.  For the top layer I cut two pieces of Whisper White card stock to 8.5cm x 13.8cm.

For my Stamping I used the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set from Stampin' Up! a gorgeous new set in the Spring Summer Catalogue.  I used Pear Pizazz, Night of Navy and Black Memento Ink pads.

I use the random spotty stamp to stamp a pattern around the edges of both of my Whisper White card layers, with Night of Navy and Pear Pizazz stamping off and on to get various shades of the two inks.  Next I stamped both my sentiments in Black memento to the front layer and the inner layer.

The last bit of stamping was the dragonfly,  I stamped this out twice, once onto my front layer and then secondly onto Whisper White card stock (this piece doesn't have to be measured (I used the off cut from my layers).  The detailed stamp I stamped in Night of Navy and then the wing stamp I stamped over (two step stamping) with the Pear Pizazz ink.  I finished off with my blender pen to the edges where my green didn't quite fill in the gaps as I am always wonky.   I took the second stamped image and fussy cut out the wings cutting the body off (you can cut out with the matching framelits too if you like too).

I then layered my navy onto my card blank and then added my white stamped layer, I mounted my wings onto my dragonfly with some Stampin' Dimensional and finally I added a few Rhinestones as a bit of bling just finished it off.

I hope you like today's creation,  please do leave me a comment and I would love you to follow me and pop back again

Happy Crafting
